London, February 25th 2017 – We’re delighted to announce today that Global Reach Technology‘s Hotspot 2.0 online-sign-up server (OSU) technology will be used by The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), GSMA and Fira – together with a large number of mobile operators and technology partners – to deliver the best in-class Wi-Fi user experience at Mobile World Congress 2017.
Customers of the global carriers taking part in Next Generation Hotspot (NGH) Live Experience will be able to automatically and securely roam onto the MWC public Wi-Fi network using Passpoint/Hotspot 2.0.
GlobalReach Technology has been a leader in Hotspot 2.0 authentication and provisioning since 2012. We have been deeply involved in next generation trials of Hotspot 2.0 and the first large-scale deployments.
Visit https://mwc.odyssys.net for the latest list of participating operators and to set up your devices with the GlobalReach OSU before you travel to Barcelona.
GlobalReach CEO, Mark Williamson and CTO, Dr Chris Spencer are attending MWC 2017 to demonstrate the live Hotspot 2.0 service, and to answer questions about how it can improve mobile and Wi-Fi services.
Service providers can arrange a time to meet here.
